National Indie Music Awards — Official Rules

Award categories may use fan voting, performance/chart data, editorial selection or a disclosed combination. Eligibility periods, voting windows and category-specific criteria should be announced for each awards cycle.

Votes or activity reasonably identified as automated, duplicated, purchased, manipulated or fraudulent may be removed. Major results may be calculated automatically but remain subject to final eligibility and integrity review before publication.

Nomination, paid services, advertising, partnerships, magazine purchases or plaque purchases do not guarantee an award. Winners may be required to confirm identity, rights and eligibility before fulfillment or promotion.
