Chart Methodology

IndieHOT100 is an independent ranking system designed to reflect legitimate audience interest and performance signals. Factors may include verified unique platform engagement, chart movement, recent momentum and other reliable performance data available to the platform.

Recent verified activity may be weighted more heavily than lifetime totals. Duplicate, automated, purchased, manipulated, suspicious or otherwise unreliable activity may be discounted or removed. Exact anti-fraud thresholds and weights may remain confidential to protect the integrity of the chart.

Paid submissions, magazine purchases, DJ review fees, plaques, advertising and partnerships do not purchase chart positions. Administrative corrections and documented overrides may be used to correct data errors or integrity problems, and significant corrections should be auditable internally.

Certifications

A song that reaches the Top 10 earns Top Ten Certified status permanently for that song. A song that reaches #1 earns Number 1 Certified status permanently. The gold Number 1 badge takes visual priority while the song remains #1.
